Angry [Pwnage] Causing Accessory Error messages? and Bad custom IPSW created?

I just bought a new iPhone today.

I pwned it and had no problems and made a new custom IPSW without devteam logos and successfully restored!

But then I started the phone and it has been doing strange things ever since!

The unlock is fine- I have no issues with it but at first wi-fi wouldn't stay connected so I did a reset all settings and that fixed it. Then installer was telling me to install jiggytime when I didn't need it.

The screen then started flashing and eventually went back to normal when I pressed the sleep button and now my bookmarks will not save! If I turn the phone on they are gone!

I then did another full settings reset and it remembered my wi-fi! Even although it should have been reset!

I never had problems with the last IPSW I made and when I get home I'll restore using the one that worked perfectly on my other phone (hopefully fixing the problems!)

    BUT

This made me wonder if anyone else had issues with their custom IPSWs? I suppose its possible as the IPSW is taken apart and put back together and there are no checks to make sure everything was put back right as far as I know!

I re-restored my iPhone with the original custom IPSW I made - the only difference being I checked the custom images originally.

There are no problems on this one - everything works great!

How can there be so much variation in the IPSW image? Is it a bug in pwnage?

I mean at the end of the day restoring to another custom firmware sorted it out but its really strange!

Yea that doesn't make a lot of sense Its really strange

When I see you're first post I was guessing that it mite be related to restoring the phone from a backup not setting as new in itunes.

But I can see you're no noob here so I didn't bother saying it

Anyways I'm glade to see you have it working again

I got a new iPhone because the old one was coming up with "This Accessory is Not made for iPhone" when put in the iPhone dock.

Well I just got that message again - is Pwnage causing this? Is it possible that pwnagetool is causing a problem that causes this message?

Or is it just bad luck and I have another bad iPhone? whats going on!?

This iphone dock is just the standard one isnt it? Have you plugged it into anything recently (stereo, wall plug) apart from your laptop? Maybe you are pluggin the dock into something which is short-circuiting something in the dock, making iphone think its somethgin different.

No its only gone in its own dock - that is it!

We need to figure out if this is down to pwnage and a software error or something more serious.

It may be a DFU restore will fix it - but we need to know.

At the end of the day the phone is new and works but it shouldn't be giving me that message when it is in the dock it came with! (and thats not to mention the different IPSW issues I had!).
