i've used pownage to refirmware my iphone 3g.

No weird things during the proces only i don't see the cydia / installer apps.

Did something go wrong?
How to get stuff working?

My iPhone works as before, no changes in logo's or anything. I've got the feeling i've upgraded it with the normal 2.1 image I've been messing around now for 2 days.

How can i ensure iTunes uses the generated image on my desktop (macbook x86)

i've probably restored my iPhone time after time with the normal 2.1 image. I never pressed 'option' together with restore, i just restored..... let's try again...

The 'option' button did the thing only the custom firmware gives me an 1600 error. I'd rather stay in my jail for a while till the proces is more stable. I can't afford really ruining my iPhone.

i've been trying to jailbreak my t-mobile iPhone 3G for more than 5 hours and there is still errors!!!
i had 1600, 1013, and 6 so far but 1600 is the latest. it appeared when i tried exactly this guide

Use iClarifieds instructions. Instead of doing a simple mode use the expert mode, and instead of doing the restore do a DFU mode, i.e. when Pwnage asks you "Has your iphone been pwned before?" answer no. This is a more thorough jailbreak.

Highly recommend checking iclarifieds site before doing anything.

You guys need to do a DFU restore...

When the iphone is in DFU mode the screen is totally black. No Restore screen will show.
If you see the restore screen you are NOT in DFU mode.

Awesome news, but the real question is, when will pwnage tool unlock the 3G?
