Default [PwnageTool 2.0] What firmware needed?

Ok. Sorry if this seems redundant to some, but I've read conflicting accounts and I'd just like a clear answer. I have a 1st gen iphone with 2.0 installed from itunes. Can I use pwnage 2.0 right away or must I first downgrade to 1.1.4 and then upgrade to 2.0 through pwnage?

    Thanks

DO NOT Downgrade to 1.1.4 - it is not necessary - You will need to have the 2 bootloader files BL-39.bin and BL-46.bin - see other posts earlier for links to download.

Just follow the on-screen prompts when you start the PWNAGE 2 tool and you'll be OK
(I have done my 3G version 2 software iPhone and also my original 2G iphone that was 1.1.4 but I did earlier upgrade it to V2 and again no problems in doing the PWNAGE)

One thing to note and NOT worry about is that at the end of the PWNAGE, the phone will restart twice and then appear as though it's off - It isn't just in it's usual standby mode. Press the power button and it will come back to life

Be advised that all your previous content will be gone - let iTunes restore it from a backup as long as it is a backup done while it was at V2 - I have heard of, and seen some problems of allowing an old backup to be restored. My advice is to set the iPhone up as a new Phone by iTunes.

[EDIT] Additional notes: I am on OPTUS in Australia - I did notice that my V1 iPhone which was PWNAGED at 1.1.4, when updated to V2 lost its activation even though OPTUS is now a supported carrier - PWNAGE 2 fixed that all OK - Activation didn't change in the 3G phone and all works fine.

Note2: If you get any Wi-Fi problems Tap into Settings and RESET Network Settings and set your WiFi back up - that seems to fix any errors there [/EDIT]
