    Default [PwnageTool 2.0] Trouble Virginizing

I need to send phone back that I purchased and I'm trying to virginize it using this info from the FAQ.

After I followed the instructions, the phone shows the cable connection to the iTunes logo, but it still shows T-Mobile when my sim card is in it.

Is this a problem? Can someone use an ATT card?

Can I return it to Apple and they won't know?

When you click the "iPwner" button in PwnageTool, your main s5l8900 bootloader (OS bootloader) gets pwned. To undo this, use iTunes to restore to a Apple ipsw.

When you neuter using BootNeuter, your S-Gold radio bootloader (baseband bootloader) gets "pwned". To undo this, run BootNeuter again and turn off all options (and pick 3.9 or 4.6 depending on your preference).

Two different CPUs, two different tools. But both the s5l8900 pwnage and S-Gold pwnage are 100% reversible.

If you want to relock your phone - use bootneuter and click everything to off. Then restore with Apple firmware. And you are back to factory fresh.

If you restore with Apple firmware you will then have to use ipwner again to use custom firmware.

Sounded like you did not do that.

Under the bootneuter screen, I un-checked the first box that says Neuter Bootloader, then everything else below greyed out.

Is that what I was supposed to do?

Will it work with an att sim card the way I left it? Its not going to the factory but to an individual who may want att back on it.

ok - I'm going to explain to you.
There is no check box what so ever like you described.

    - first set auto-lock to never
    - run bootneuter
    - the current setting will be shown in blue
    - at the neuter = on , slide it to off
    - at the unlock = on, slide it to off
    - if fakeblank = on, slide it to off

    - hit flash at the upper right hand corner and wait, wait until it finishes and do not touch anything

What the hell, first you said it's going to back to where you purchased it. And now it's going to an individual.
I don't know what you are trying to do. If the phone is working, leave it as is. Don't try to muck around with it if you don't know what you are doing. You may do more harm than good.

I think we are talking about two different things. I'm referring the settings on the Pwnage 2.0.1 app in the BootNeuter section.

You must be talking about using the BootNeuter app directly on the iPhone.

Thanks for the explanation. I agree on not over hacking it and causing problems, that is why I really just want to make sure it will work on his ATT sim when I send it back to him.

I understand that it will just fine. Thanks again.
