[PwnageTool][2.0][EDGE] Doesn't work after upgrading

Having some issues with the EDGE network after upgrade....

I'm paying for the 'full' TMobile Data Plan, so I'm NOT looking for the T-Zones hack, just trying to get EDGE working at all!

Previously:
1st Gen iPhone
PwnageTool1.1, unlocked and jailbroken to firmware 1.1.4
Fully functional on EDGE using either wap.voicestream.com or internet2.voicestream.com as my APN

Today:
1st Gen iPhone
PwnageTool2.0, unlocked and jailbroken to firmware 2.0
All features functioning except EDGE.

Neither APN connects, and I have already tried the BigBoss Hack for T-Zones on Cydia, no dice. I really want to use the full fledged EDGE network, but any functionality would be great at this point!

You need to (get or) create a carrier bundle (i.e. TMobile_us.bundle) create the symbolic links to it, then reset your network settings. Please search the forum on creating a carrier bundle if you do not know how to do this.

I had the same problem when I first upgraded. I had the full internet plan (the 19$ a month plan) and when I created my carrier bundle it still didn't work. I looked around online and saw that BigBoss had released the T-Zones Hack on Cydia so I reset the network settings on the phone and then installed the hack from Cydia and after about twenty minutes everything was working great. Even though having the 5.99 plan is great I spend a lot of time in Borders hot spot areas so I would like to keep the full plan so if anyone has edge working on the full internet plan then let me know.

well I'll be....

As per iphone45's advice, I shopped around and got through the tutorial on creating my own carrier bundle.

Then before implementing it I did Setting>Reset>Reset Network Settings

then just for kicks I gave the internet2.voicestream.com a try again just to be sure before I switched around the bundle and lo and behold, it starts working! Just must have gotten jumbles building the .ipsw file.

maybe give it a try dantesinferno?

I can now access both the T-zones (APN = wap.voicestream.com) and Full Data (APN = internet2.voicestream.com) but the Full Data plan is significantly faster.

I'm in Seattle, WA. Hope this helps anyone else!

If you used Cydia to installed the hack, make sure you have your iPhone restarted and it should work.

You do not need the t-zone hack if you are on the full internet plan with t-mobile.

I can't get the tzones hack to install with Cydia on 2.0. I hit install, then it says complete, but never actually installs.

I had the same problem with Rogers here in Canada. I just created a custom carrier bundle at http://www.volkspost.de/pwn_carrierbundle/
and EDGE is working now.

can someone please help,
i installed the bigBoss Hack T-Zone and restart my phone but still can not brows the safari .. let me know how i can fix this

I had the same problem - even after entering & re-entering APN details correctly and restarting, still could not get the iPhone to use EDGE. So I did a Reset Network Settings, re-entered the APN info and now it works ...
