didn't the dev team suggest NOT upgrading iphone 3G to 2.0.1 because of the upgraded baseband and that might mess up any chance of unlocking the 3G for now?

Warning: If you care about the possibility of a GSM/3G unlock in the future (there is no unlock available as yet), do not update your 3G device with iTunes unless you do it via PwnageTool 2.0.2 (this means you’ll need to create a custom .ipsw with PwnageTool 2.0.2 and install it using iTunes) - If you have updated over the last few days with iTunes, you’ll still be able to Jailbreak using PwnageTool 2.0.2 but it may reduce the chance of you being able to unlock the Phone to be able to use a SIM card from all carriers in the future.
Does the new PWNAGE Tool 2.0.2 make it safe to upgrade to 2.0.1 on 3G now for those wanting a unlock int eh future? Does it upgrade without the baseband?

I can confirm that after running PwnageTool 2.0.2 on the 2.0.1 IPSW and restoring my iPhone with it, my baseband is not upgraded. It remains at 1.45.00.

Don't use The Unarchiver for decompressing Pwnage Tool 2.0.2, or else Cydia won't work! (Permission Issue)
