[PwnageTool 2.0] 1604 error on iTunes
I just updated from an Liberty+ unlocked iPhone 1.1.4 to a pwned 2.0. Everything went fine up to the point while it's flashing the baseband in Bootneuter. After waiting over an hour, and it was still working, I decided to force shutdown the phone. When I started the iPhone again it only showed me the Steve Jobs cartoon (recovery mode). iTunes won't recognize it when it's in this modus. If i start it in DFU iTunes recognizes it, but if i try to restore it to either the stock 2.0 or the pwnage 2.0, i get the iTunes error message 1604. I have iTunes 7.7 installed.
What i've tried:
- Downgrading from 2.0 to 1.1.4 (on both Mac and PC).
- Switching USB port.
- A lot of different pwnage combinations.
- Tried restoring to original 2.0 in both restore mode and DFU (on both Mac and PC).
- I have the "Device Support" folder, and I have deleted the file inside it.
- Cleaned out the user and system cache.
- Repaired permissions.
Update:
I tried this guide on Windows, and it worked: http://sleepers.net/news/guides/20-to-114-downgrade/
It didn't work when i tried the same method on my Mac.

Invalid calibration data in device tree / 1012 error
BREIF:
1st generation iphone OTB 1.1.2
Hardware unlocked...
then upgraded to 1.1.3 and 1.1.4
Then recently upgraded to FW 2 pre-PWANGE 2.0 release
Tried to downgrade to 1.1.4 (using iTunes 7.5 and 7.6 and 7.7) then used the patched ZiPhone to erase my baseband.... EVER since... I have been missing my baseband and getting "Invalid calibration data in device tree" and 1012 errors in iTunes.
TODAY:
Just downloaded Pwange 2.0 ---> restored to a custom FW 2.0 and got error 1604 in iTunes 7.7.
PROBLEM:
Missing baseband / and modem firmware.
My phone is bricked...I have no way of reflashing the baseband...becuase of the patched ZiPhone program...
Anyone know a way around this?

You cannot downgrade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how can you downgrade with nothing!!!!!!!! doh! downgrade MEANS to reduce to a lower level... we are not at any level!
and also...if you read the post you would note i already used the "patched ZiPhone" app which is KiPhone!! the route cause of wiping the baseband.
I need a way to write a fresh baseband to iPhone rom.... any ideas?

I have the same problem.
I'm running Mac OSX, so I downgraded to 1.1.4 with this solution:
http://sleepers.net/news/guides/20-to-114-downgrade/
After that, I had 04.04.05 baseband, but my AT&T signal wouldn't pick up. So I ran iLiberty+ to activate the phone, then downloaded BootNeuter from Installer.
In Bootneuter I turned everything _OFF_ (to virginize), and I downgraded to 3.9 (like that one better), then flashed it.
After that I ran kiPhone (only iEraser).
Upgraded to 7.7, now I'm running 1.1.4 without baseband, and trying to update to 2.0, but still getting 1604. Have tried everything, but not giving up yet. Tried regular recoverymode, got 1603. Hm, strange
Will report back soon.
