Default [PwnageTool 1.1][Windows]how to download Custom Package?

    Hi users.
I've looked for some days any topic regarding my question but I have no luck or I can't find the right tags.
I've just upgrade my 2G iPhone to 2.0.1 FW with PwnageTool 2.0.2 but the phone is quite slower than before. I'd like to downgrade to 1.1.4 and I found the tutorial but I'd like to create a new custom 1.1.4 firmware with the previous PwnageTool version. How can I download the apps packages from the source with a PC or Mac on my HDD to include them into my custom firmware? if I try to load some repository source from my browser the page redirect automatically to the source pages and I cannot see the XML file that contain datas about packages (some others source give me the possibility to read the xml file and find the right url to download the package, for example fring source).
Notice that I know how to build custom bundle to include in my custom firmware.
thanks a lot and sorry If I make a double or a copy of an existing post.

I agree that 1.1.4 was IMO the best firmware to date for the phone in respect to stability and speed. I also agree that 2.0+ is slow as of yet. I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question but I do think that you are wasting your time downgrading and also performing some unnecessary phone manipulation. Staying at 1.1.4 will eventually lock you out of the modding scene and keep you from enjoying all the good things to come. My guess is that 2.0.2 or .3 will be better and your unhappiness will be forgotten. I say hang in there, mine is nowhere near bad enough to even contemplate downgrading.

    Hi jasonsmith,
I know what you mean...I think about that today and I choose to keep the new FW although it works slower than the previous on the iPhone 2G.
    Bye!

That ain't work. You have to build pwnageTool compatible custom bundles with the apps you want to have on board. BTW: this did not change in PwnageTool 2.0.X, works for both versions.

    Hi volkspost,
I've already read that post some weeks ago to start to build custom application in a, let me call it, "offline" way, out of the iPhone Installer enviroment. The main problem was how to dowload the package to include in the bundle from the installer source because in many source the access is only available via installer and if I try to read the content of the repo via web browser (to find the xml descriptor), the webserver redirect to the main page of the owner of the repo so I can't find the right path, url, to the app package. But In the new version of PwnageTool this functionality is already included so the PwnageTool can read directly from the repo and download the package to be included in the custom firmware before flashing it on the device.
    Thanks again

Ah, I see. There should be a way around. Check out this Windpws Programm:
    http://code.google.com/p/hacx-iliber...ipt-generator/
It is intended to download and package Installer app programms from repositories and make it ready to go for iLiberty. I know you are not up to iLiberty, but this way you may be able to extract the packages you want.
Just add the repos you want the software from

    hope this helps
