Hello everyone!

I've read through the forums however I haven't found any answer to this question.

I bought a 16 GB iPhone last week and Pwned it last night to work on Rogers. I downloaded the ipsw and the bootloader BIN files from the links in the iClarified how-to guide. I have not installed any additional apps.

Everything went smoothly (although I don't understand why there was a 9MB bitmap pic of a circuit board included in the zip with the BIN files). In fact, I was impressed; after reading many of the articles here I expected that installer wouldn't be "seen" by my iPhone...however it was, and I didn't have to install the fix that has been detailed in other posts.

Wifi worked perfectly...so I expected that everything was fine. Today I signed up for a data plan, and input the settings into the EDGE menu:

APN: internet.com
Username: wapuser1
Password: wap
(I have also tried it with just the APN filled in, leaving the username and password fields blank)

When I access Safari, it lists available Wifi networks; when I click cancel, it "appears" to try to access via EDGE however I get the message, "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server". I can't seem to access any sites that require EDGE service (such as Weather, Stocks, etc.).

In addition, I can't seem to send or receive SMS messages. When I try to send a txt, the status bar moves about 90% of the way across then gives me an error.

I've tried performing a hard reset and I've also reset all settings; neither worked.

Has anyone else come across this? Is there some "fix" i need to install via installer, or is there some installed program that blocks EDGE?

I really like the pwnage tool and hope that I won't have to "undo" everything and use something else (such as iLiberty).

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks for the link, but that doesn't help.

I do see lots of settings that include DNS addresses, though; am I required to program those in to my iPhone somewhere? Is it possible that's the problem?
