Pwnage 2.1 can't find Bootloader 3.9 (though it's dwnloaded...)
I even browse directly to it, but it doesn't recognize it. Once and once again, it answers "it doesn't appear to be BL3.9" (I've even changed the name, but it doesn't accept it either). Anyone with the same problem?

could be that you downloaded broken file. did you verify checksum? try downloading again. iclarified has links in guidance to 2.x pwnage tool.

helppppppppppp!
I have a question that is off topic but maybe someone from the dev team can help or answer. Why is the 3g iPhone so slow and slugish after jailbreaking with quickpwn or pawnage tool? Is there any way to speed it up? All apps especially SMS,contacts and settings take a long time to open. I tested my 3g speed agenst my jailbroken 1.1.4 2g iPhone and the 2g runs a hell of slot faster and smother. Also tested 3g iPhone without jailbreak and it was fine, fast and smooth. Can anyone help me with this matter?

Do not use pwnage tool directly from the DMG.
Copy it to your desktop and try again.

after you "opened" the BiTorrent file, you then get a DISK Image (icon that looks like a hard drive), double-click and it will open another window with the Pineapple Logo from PwnageTool...
NOW... Drag this Pineapple Logo to your Desktop (or whereever you have the Bootloader files at) and it will find them now.
*** I know, it happened to me too... but i re-read the Dev Team's instructions and like magic:
http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/4998...r-2-1-firmware
it's in BOLD letters (and i quote):
"PLEASE NOTE: COPY THE APPLICATION TO YOUR APPLICATIONS FOLDER OR DESKTOP BEFORE RUNNING. RUNNING DIRECTLY FROM THE DISK IMAGE WILL CAUSE ERRONEOUS BEHAVIOR (such as missing bootloader files and other oddities)."
