It's the problem of trying to get pwnge to say dfu failed try again. I did dfu and recovery mode just to kick pwnage into failing and saying try again

Installer is not currently supported with this release. Cydia is.

also make sure itunes is closed before trying to kick it into dfu

PwnageTool never asked me to turn off the phone - should it have?

I think the fact that it "Failed to prepare" the "Restore" ipsw is the key - I'm guessing it never attempts to actually put my phone into DFU mode, since it already got that failure.

Just guessing, though.

I did simple mode. Answered NO to the legit iphone, Answered yes to previous pwnage (because it was previous) and built the file and restored and it's working great. Now I need to try it on my wife's that hasn't been previous pwned. So I hope that goes smooth.
