I had an unlocked 1.1.4 pwned phone but restored to 2.0.
For whatever reason pwnagetool doesn't like DFU and won't let me pwn my 2.0 phone.
So I tried to DFU back to 1.1.4 then repwn it and upgrade but that doesn't seem to work in the new version of iTunes.
It would help if the devteam told us how we are meant to get already 2.0 phones into pwned states!
iPhone US 8GB
FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
iPhone UK 16GB
FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!
<----If I helped you out, rep points are always nice (thanks for that idea!)
I've used "simple mode" firmware created succesfully, DFU ok, restore from itunes ok.. then the iphone restarts with the pawnage logo and is not activated "slide for emergency".. anybody with the same problem???
Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world, are the ones who do.
I have recreated the .ipsw
I have now entered the DFU mode, itunes tells me that I have an iPhone in recovery mode. I will now recover with the costume .ipsw firmware.
Just one question: When iTunes says it has finished installing and that the iPhone is rebooting do I leave it plugged? Because when it restarts, the iPhone asks to connect to itunes and itunes tells me that it cannot activate.
