Yes you need BL3.9bin and BL4.6bin in order to build the custom firmware. I downloaded mine from here:

I can't believe so many people are having problems. Mine ran first time no problem. Makes me laugh seeing all these problem threads and these are all from people who wanted the dev team to rush out a release that had a few bugs. If your having so many problems with this finished version can you imagine what it would of been like if they had released a buggy version just because people were moaning!

Yeah...
I think some of the confusion is from when the Pwnage Tool asks if you have ever pwned your phone before.
If you have pwned it at 1.1.4, then upgraded to 2.0 "Apple-official" -- that UNDOES the pwnage... so the answer to the is your phone "pwned" now, should be NO.
So:
1) if you are at 1.1.4, pwned, answer yes the "has you phone been pwned" and iTunes to install the custom Firmware.
2) if you installed 2.0 "Apple Official" REGARDLESS of whether or not you pwned 1.1.4 or anything else you did to it, answer "no" to the "has your phone been pwned"
3) if you were at 1.1.4 legit... abviously you should answer "no" to "has your phone been pwned"
4) if you are at 1.1.4 and used ZiPhone, iLiberty, etc... (anything besides Pwnage), then you should answer "no" to the "Has your phone been pwned"
I hope this clears it up. It's all just have to pay attention and read carefully.

Pwnage 2.0 works great!
Thank you iPhone Dev Team... Pwnage 2.0 was so easy to use. I'm a happy bunny with my iPhone 1st generation now with the FW 2.0! The wait was worth it!
