    Exclamation (Pwnage 2.0.2) error 1604

restored many times and never had a problem. recently I upgraded to 2.0.2 ispw from apple and all was well except no Cydia or 3rd party apps.
Today I decided to run pwnage again and put 2.0.1 back on so I could have my apps back.

No dice am able to go into dfu mode but after the pineapple shows up it says preparing for restore and then after a while the moving circle comes up on the iphone and keeps spinning after that i get a 1604 error tried everything i'm pulling my hair out any help would be appreciated i'm on a 2g iphone.

I have been riding up and down with one of my testphones (2G). Thats what i did when I wanted back to pwnage with custom 2.0.1.
I DFU restored the iPhone in iTunes to Apple FW 2.0.2
Then DFU restored to 2.0.1 custom firmware
    worked for me

Can you get it into DFU mode?

You have iTunes 7.7.1 installed? And when trying now you just hit Restore in iTunes - not option-restore, right?

If this aint work, put the iPhone into recovery mode and restore to Apple FW then. To do so, disconnect iPhone and Mac, iTunes running on the Mac. Shut sown the iPhone. Then hold Home button and while holding re-connect to the Mac - keep holding until iTunes discovers and iPhone in recovery mode (you should se Steve).
Just hit restore then in iTunes.

Also if I do as you said in the last post it does not go into dfu it goes into recovery mode. but I also tried to restore by forcing the phone into dfu and still will not work.

If I try to restore the original apple firmware the only thing that changes is that instead of the pineapple I get the apple.
