Nope...
Just click DFU button in PwnageTool and go by advices... It will PWN your iPhone and patch iTunes so you can restore a custom firmware...

Error 29 is not so good.
Pastebin your failed restore logs or we can't help you http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/130802.htm
You need to use Pwnagetool's DFU mode, nothing else will do.

AND NOW I GET ERROR 21... Error 21: Custom firmware restore fail (PwnageTool since 4.1). You have to put your device into the DFU mode and not into recovery mode. Device won't boot correctly an stuck at the Apple logo after the error. Press and hold power and home button until it reboots.
Then try again.. You need to use the pwnagetool 4.1.x DFU mode and a pwnagetool 4.1.x custom IPSW.
Alternatively:
If you are trying with windows - you need to have been pwned at 3.1.3 (i.e. not jailbroken with spirit or jailbreakme) and the custom IPSW needs to have been made on a mac, by following the instructions on this page. PwnageTool Tweaks [iPhone Dev Team] When using this technique, you transfer the generated custom IPSW to windows and restore in recovery mode (not DFU mode)

Hey dude i beg your pardon for asking this again but all i have to do is:
1)my ipsw (of os4.1) is pwnage 4.1.2 genarated in the expert mode as i need hactivation
2)i have to click on dfu mode in the top bar (i was using dfu mode only but since u said ill try , and is the pwnage tool dfu different than the normal dfu mode that v use i mean does it patch ituned or something>)
3)alt + restore in itunes?
4)ultrasn0w unlock
5)Use my phone happily (is it so easy)?
P.S i see no room for error and i shall try this and let you know thank you anyways

Yes pwnagetool dfu mode is now different to normal dfu mode (as of pwnagetool 4.1 for pretty much all atv/ iPhone/iPod/iPad models except maybe the 3G (it still supports custom boot logos so I think it is using the pwnage2 exploit
The rest appear to use geohot's bootr
Exploit (delivered via dfu) and comex's kernel exploit. (delivered via bootrom exploit)
This is explained in much simpler and concise terms on the iPhone dev team's blog post announcing pwnagetool 4.1.x - you did read that before you started I hope.
