I have exhausted all methods and tactics i can find on forums and I'm about ready to suck-start a shotgun... I have managed to do something horrible to my iphone 3G, its stuck in some new flavor of recovery loop, or maybe i haven't found the solution yet.

If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. iphone is currently doing this. When turned on goes into " Please connect to itunes" screen. When connected to itunes it reboots and goes apple logo, flashes recovery screen and repeats ad-nauseum... When put into DFU mode it will allow me to SHIFT+restore, but then goes into loop again. I have used, tinyumbrella, iREB-r4 and RecBoot. I can get it into DFU mode with iREB but from there it goes back into the loop.

Could one of you fine gentlemen hook me up with a solution?

Okay, when you say you entered DFU mode, are you sure it was DFU (screen is black)?
Have you tried a different IPSW when restoring in DFU mode? Could it be that the IPSW is damaged? Have you tried with a custom firmware?
One more thing, can you post the restore log?

I am certain that it is in DFU mode, yes. I have tried a custom firmware and tried letting itunes put the latest firmware on as well. where can i find the restore log at? is that the thing under %AppData% Apple Computer etc... ?

Detailed Instructions to Reproduce the Problem-- Used iphoneunlockusa.com's Unlock software, Failed error 1015, researched error. Followed directions, used iREB to get it out of recovery loop. Did not work. Used iREB to put it in DFU/PWNED state, Tried to restore. Error. recovery loop. Tried tinyumbrella, Error, Restore loop again. Smashed head on keyboard.

Ok, when you "Used iphoneunlockusa.com's Unlock software" did you install something on your computer? Try using *another* computer and restoring to the latest version (Just press restore on iTunes and let it download and install the new firmware on your iPhone).

Restore using custom IPSW (preferably via Pwnagetool - but sn0wbreeze might work also) should fix your problem. Although it's hard to say for sure as you have thrown multiple restore logs in one long document - makes it hard to determine where you currently stand with your problem.

Don't rely on iREB it's generally a waste of time.

Redsn0w 0.9.2 or 0.9.4 might also work (with a 3.1.2 IPSW) to get you out of the loop you are in.

As you're new to this whole thing I'll let your request for an IPSW slide.

Distributing custom made IPSWs is illegal/warez/piracy and we don't allow this on this forum.

Please try and make your own via sn0wbreeze or pwnagetool - it's not too hard.
