question on unlocking and activation

I have a T-mobile SIM card in my iPhone ( I'm in the US ). I was running 1.1.1 unlocked and jailbroken. I have now done a DFU restore to 2.0 and want to use pwnage tool to unlock and activate. Do I have to have the original SIM card or can I leave my t-mobile card?
