PwnageTool Not Recognizing IPSW File.
And it is driving me up the wall.
I tried to run AppTapp earlier this morning and it completely bombed my iPhone (2G).
then I tried to run the iTunes restore, and, of course, it started to update with 2.2.1.
I have PwnageTool.app (v2.0), iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw, BL-39.bin, and BL-46.bin in a folder.
In expert mode, whenever I try to browse for the ipsw it gives me "wrong firmware bundle selected".
Of course I have also tried QuickPwn (v2.2), and that got me farther, but I still pulled up with null on how to bypass activation, even though QuickPwn is supposed to do that automatically.
I don't even care about activating it for phone use, I just want to be able to access the apps.
Am I missing something?
Because I would really love to solve this soon.
I've been up for over four hours trying to look into different ways to solve it and still nothing really successful.
Yes, I am a bit of a newbie to this, but, as I said, four hours of googling raised my knowledge quite a bit. I've got most of the lingo down, but if you could please keep explanations fairly simple, that would be awesome.
If you need any more info, go ahead and ask.
And just as an FYI, I'm running iTunes 8.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.6.
Ugh, I think I might be forgetting something, but I don't think it's very crucial at the moment.
Thanks ahead of time. :]
