[PwnageTool] Jailbreak and "bossprefs" to shut down EDGE

Hi,

I am living in México and I am using my iPhone here with a prepaid card. However, I noticed, most undesiredly, that EDGE can sometimes turns itself on. In order to be able to turn EDGE off, somebody recommended me to "jailbreak" and then use "bossprefs".

To be honest with you, I got really scared when the person said "jailbreak". I have pawned my iPhone in the past. I just don't want to mess up my phone. Is there a way that you would recommend me in order to be able to shut down EDGE ??

i dont think you can disable edge if you have an iphone 3g if you have a not authorized cell provider you will have to use 2g or edge the 3g dont work on jail brake or unlocked iphones

You are using an "old" iPhone 2G, right? And you pwnaged it so it is already jailbroken, this is part of the process. Look for Cydia or Installer on your iPhone and start either of these. You should find a free software there called BossPrefs. Install it. Once done start BossPrefs on your iPhone. You may then disable EDGE.
