iphone 2g can not restore

hello

i have a similar problem. I had my iphone 2gen unlocked and a week later it says my phone needs to connect to itunes to restore. i had connected it to itunes but it wont restore at all. i have tried unistalling itunes and reinstalling and that also didnt work. i also took it to the apple store for them to restore it but that didnt work neither. please let me know how i can do it. i also logged on to a different user on my computer.

the error on itunes says "the iphone cant not be restored error (23)"

If the Apple Store couldn't restore the phone, didn't they offer to replace your phone?

In any case, are you using a late-model MacBook or MacBook Pro? (i.e. a unibody model with a black border around the screen) If so, you're going to find that it's quite difficult to do a successful restore. You'll find some instructions here:
