T-Mobile USA Carrier Bundle
HomeGrown, i've tried to modify redsnow 0.72 and 0.8 with icy.tar.gz but running redsnow 0.72 and after turn off and on the device can't get signal. With 0.8 can't enter in DFU mode. Is there any other way (no pwnage, or redsnow) to install ultrasnow? Via cydia or Icy the repo (666) is down. I apreciate your help
Dude, look at the screenshot and description here. I did it. It looks totally legitimate. There is no Cydia/Icy. It has T-Mobile carrier support bundle. It looks officially unlocked, even though it is not. You can't tell it was jailbroken and unlocked with ultrasn0w from just looking at it.
Note: I don't think a lot of people would appreciate you insulting their apps, a few of them have also played a big part in the jailbreaking/unlocking effort and we all should be very grateful. also there are many useful things available in Cydia I would recommend taking having a look at some of em.
Deleting Cydia is not the issue. Cydia comes with a ton of dependencies. It comes with an entire UNIX subset. I've always had instability because of it. Cydia has nothing to do with the jailbreak itself, which is just the opening of the system partition for modification, among other things. If all you care about is not having the Cydia icon, then by all means delete it via DiskAid or SSH. I care about having an almost legitimate firmware, which I now have.
