I've unlocked and jailbroken for 2.0 my phone using PWNage, and while the app store is nice I've having WAY too many issues. Is there anyway to restore to a virgin 1.1.4?
Since upgrading my signal strength is horrible, edge stops and requires a reboot, and the battery seems to be draining way too fast.
I really want to go back to 1.1.4 how can I do it?
I've noticed the battery draining much more quickly, too. Try turning off Push. There are ways to downgrade to 1.1.4. Try a google search.
I, too, have experienced signal issues, edge stops but turning Airplane Mode on and off usually fixes it, and my battery dies at like 6 PM when I used to be able to get to 10 PM with 1.1.4. I, however, do not wish to go back to 1.1.4, I am going to follow advice I've found on the forum and try getting rid of Cydia, it seems to be the root of a lot of peoples problems. Give it a shot before going 1.1.4?? Laterz.
I'd be fine with getting rid of Cydia, except it seems like there are alot of software updates coming through Cydia. I've found Cydia and Installer very useful as I'm on a non-AT&T network.
With out them I wouldn't be able to get my edge working (T-Zones), or in the past my youtube (had to use MX Tube). So without them I'm kinda screwed anyways. Is there an alternate to Cydia maybe? Any chance of Installer coming back?
My other thought is that maybe alot of these issues have to do with the actual 2.0 firmware and not even the Pwned version. Has anyone experianced this problems before using pwnage?

The software updates coming through Cydia seem to be FOR Cydia.... what's that tell you?!? I haven't had problems with 5.99 except didn't have the setting right, and never had problems with YouTube. Installer 4.0 (ver??) is on the way, just isn't ready yet. I'm going to try going AppStore only for a while and see if stability and speed improve, if they do I'll be hard pressed to go back to Installer or Cydia until these things get better. Like I said, there are several threads that say Cydia is the problem with slowness or some other issues.Quote:

Yeah, that's why I haven't upgraded yet. I don't see anything in 2.0 that is useful to me yet. The appstore pthth, push email pthth. I'm gonna wait a while longer to see if there will be any other updates that will make me want to upgrade, but for now, tmobile on 1.1.4 is working just fine.

Ok, so after fresh PWN with *no* Cydia, seems a TON snappier. Instead of "Settings" taking 10 seconds to open, it opens in 2, same with SMS. Keyboard doesn't hang when I need to enter something either. Anybody else back me up on this?
