Manually upgrading firmware - itunes blocked
I have an jailbroken (pwned) and unlocked (ultrasnow) iPhone running 3.1 and now want to upgrade to 3.1.2 by "shift clicking" restore in itunes 9.1.1 and then selecting the ipsw that I downloaded from a reliable source.
Initially things look good until i get an error that says " The iPhone "xx" could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build"
I figure that this is due to Apple blocking it while it tries to connect to their server.
Anyone else having this problem? How do I go about it?
