    I'm pretty sure I have the same problem as OP, so I did what you said. My results:

    By autodelete I assume you mean the option that asks if you want to wipe the iphone before pwning. I did what you said but when I chose not to unlock it didn't install bootneuter, so I cant set any of those settings.

    However, as soon as I restored wifi worked for a bit intermittently, improved from not at all before. Should I try to get bootneuter on post pwnage and set the settings you mentioned earlier?

    If I'm not wrong, you're using PC. Since winpwn only support up to 2.0.2 and I suggest you lock your iPhone during creation of the 2.0.2 custom firmware. You can do it by selecting "no" when winpwn 2.5 beta asking whether you want to unlock or not.

    Your iPhone will be on locked state after iTunes restored your iPhone to 2.0.2 custom firmware. Now, update your iPhone to 2.1 using iTunes and run windows version of QuickPwn 2.1.

    Hi,

    same problem here!
    I got a 16gb firstGen iPhone on 2.1(pwned). Never used ziphone!

    last week suddenly the iPhone stopped finding any Wifi-Accesspoints. I did a full restore, which solved this problem.

    Yesterday again no Wifi (WIFI is NOT grey, but there are no APs in the list). (Accesspoint is open AND visible / tried different APs)

    I tried everything!
    - Downgrade to 1.1.4
    - Downgrade Baseband (with Kiphone)
    - Jailbreak with iLiberty
    - - > again no Wifi-AP found!
    - restore to 2.1 (pwned)
    - unlock with BootNeuter (BL:3,9 Neuter:on, FakeBlank:off, Unlock:on) (tried several settings)
    - - > still no Accesspoints in the list!

    Any ideas to get my Wifi back running?

    EDIT: Possible Solution

    Again I downgraded the firmware to 1.1.4
    BUT this time I "de-neutered" the bootloader before downgrading
    Then I deleted the Baseband with kiphone (no downgrade but erase)
    Finally I Restored to a freshly pwned 2.1 Firmware and unlocked the baseband with bootneuter

    manipulating bootloader and erasing baseband is critical! Be sure to know what you are doing!
    I won't take responsibility for any damaged iPhone!

    Now all Wifi-Accesspoints appear in the list, I hope longer than one week this time ;-)

    Default iPhone does not find any Wifi networks - NOT greyed

    Hello everybody.

    It seems I have a similar problem here.

    I have a pwned iPhone 1st gen. (8 GB) originally bought with 1.14. After that I updated to 2.0 without any issues.
    A month ago or so, I updated to 2.1 and also had no issues... until 2 days ago. Suddenly my iPhone does not find ANY access points anymore. It is not a problem of the access point, since another iPhone and several notebooks are able to connect without a problem. Also my iPhone used to connect to the very same access point without any issues before on 2.1?!
    The Wifi on my iPhone, however, is NOT greyed... I do have a WiFi address under 'settings' as well.

    I tried several reboots, I did reset the network settings twice and I also tried a full restore to 2.1 without any improvements.
    After the full restore to 2.1 (and subsequent Quickpwning), the iPhone actually did see my home access point one time. I had to type in the PW again, since I erased the networks settings and after that the AP entry was gone again
    It seems as if the problem is software-related... at least I hope it is.

    Does anybody have a possible solution to this problem? Do I have play with the Baseband or use BootNeuter with advanced settings?
    I'm afraid, I'm kind of a new to this stuff, so a detailed guide would be great, since I don't want to screw my iPhone completely!

    iPhone OS 2.1 (5F136)
    Modem-Firmware 04.05.04_G
    WiFi-adress 00:1C:B3 etc.

    ANY help is highly appreciated! Thanks a lot for your time!
    Marc

    Do you guys think that re-flashing the baseband using Bootneuter will solve my problem (Wifi NOT grey, but does not find any APs)?

    Will the following settings work or what do you suggest?

    Bootloader version = default
    Neuter = on
    Fakeblank = off
    Unlock = on

    Thanks a lot for your help!

    Use bootneuter to reflash iPhone's baseband/modem firmware by locking it back and then unlocking it again.

    To lock:-
    Install BootNeuter and set autolock to never and the battery is fully charge. Set BootNeuter settings below,
    bootloader version = default
    neuter = off
    fakeblank = off
    unlock = off
    Tap flash button and follow it's instruction. Do interrupt it.

    To unlock:-
    Now we need to unlock using BootNeuter again by setting BootNeuter settings below,
    bootloader version = default
    neuter = on
    fakeblank = off
    unlock = on
    Tap flash button and follow it's instuction. Do interrupt it.

    Default Re-flashing baseband worked for me

    As suggested by Alvink83, I re-flashed the baseband of my iPhone.

    For a guide see also his blog: http://iphone83.blogspot.com/2008/10...ion-after.html

    First, I created a custom firmware using PwnageTool with the following Bootneuter options:unchecked "unlock" and "autodelete"

    Then I did a restore using the custom firmware... after that my baseband was still unlocked!
    So, I did NOW uncheck the "unlock" options and flashed the baseband. After the reboot, the iPhone was now locked, but Wifi still didn't find any networks.
    After that, I checked the "unlock" options and Bootneuter flashed the baseband again.
    Well, after another reboot, Wifi worked again !

    Thanks again to Alvink83 suggesting this procedure!

    I don't understand, however, what caused the problem in the first place. I mean, my iPhone run on firmware 2.1 for over a month without a problem. I certainly didn't play with any Bootneuter settings before and the Wifi problem appeared suddenly on one day!
    I hope somebody can comment on this and how I could prevent it from happening again.

    Thanks!
    Marc

    Default Too early to celebrate :-(

    It seems flashing the baseband was only a temporary fix.

    So, I did flash my baseband using Bootneuter and afterwards my Wifi worked again.
    However, I turned the phone to sleep for a few hours and now it doesn't find any Wifi networks again ... I can certainly re-flash it again every time I want Wifi but that cannot be the solution!?

    Do you have any suggestion what else I could try...? My bootloader is now 3.9 ... should I upgrade to 4.6 or is that not the problem?

    Thanks again for your help.

    well I got got good news and I got bad news. I did some snooping over at the offcial apple forum and it seems regular phones have the wifi issue as well so it most likely is the firmware. I went through the same isusse on another thread here and tried a lot of stuff and it just came back for some odd reason. If your going to try a lot of stuff make sure to not damage your phone beyond restore. When I was having this issue I did notice something odd when playing with boss prefs. The wifi signal would show for .5 sec and dissapear but when I checked in settings it always said I was connected and even still boss prefs wouldn't say my ip address

    Off the scene till i get a new lcd or a new iphone
