I'm still running on 1.1.4 JB UL on T-mobile USA. I don't remember the software unlock I used in the past.

When I update, are my text messages and notes lost?
what about recent calls?

I've never used pwnage before and would like help doing it. Pwnage takes care of hack-ti-vating, right?

So you can Backup your infor by iPhonebrowse or DiskAid:
Go to: Private/var/mobile/library/ and copy Folder:
AddressBook
Notes
SMS
Call History....

And before up to 2.2.1 you need run bootneuter. You go to installer installer bootneuter and run with 3.9 or 4.6 and Unlock ON, only off Fake Blank and do it. when finish you can download Custom Firmware and Shift+Restore and cho Firmware Custom.
