i had unlock my iphone 1.1.4 by iplus.

If i use winpwn iPwner only,no recovery firmware .can it work?

im kinda wondering something similiar...

i jus want the bootscreens n stuff. i dont wanna restore right now cuz i don't have to. but now with the option to change only logos without having to restore, i'd like to pwn my phone and just change the images lol

but im still on 1.1.2. possible?

No it is not, PwnageTool requires 1.1.4 minimum.

thanks xianli, whenever i do upgrade then, i guess boot logos will have to wait til then.. im way to lazy to redo everything, and so not looking forward to losing my 5icon dock

Shame, I'm in a similar postition. Im on 1.1.3 and dont want to have to re-do anything after a restore/upgrade.

I see something in the help:
If your phone has been successfully "pwned" you will see a custom boot graphic that replaces the original white Apple boot logo. Once you see this logo you will then be able to use your phone as normal, but you will now be able to use the remaining features of the pwnage tool.

but anyone confirm it? I don't wanna restore my iphone since so manny software and custome setting had done .

iPwner doesn't require a restore from iTunes.

You can pwn any unlocked/jailbroken iPhone-iTouch you like.

To add to that make sure you use the correct firmware for the correct device. iPhone to iPhone, iPod touch to iPod touch....

Just to add more certainty(..not that u need more since those 2 guys replied)i just pwned my previously jailbroken/activated 1.1.4 phone without restoring or anything.Boot screens working fine

Just pwn my 1.1.4 a few minutes ago and changed the boot logo... no problem encountered. It doesn't involve restore... just go ahead if you are on 1.1.4
