I bought a new sealed iPhone (not activated). I'm going to pwnage my iPhone 3G and have a couple of questions.
1. I'd like to jailbreak and activate my phone as it was activated by Apple, I mean I don't want Cydia or Installer, or anything that would expose I jailbreaked it.
2. Will I have problems with Universal-sim or other unlocking tools if I jailbreak it to 2.0.2 firmware?

Is it possible to do this things?

1. You want to jailbreak it and NOT activate because you are on a contracted plan. iTunes will activate your phone legitimately.

If you don't want Cydia or Installer then what is the point of jailbreak. People jailbreak because they want to have Cydia or installer.

2. Iphone 3G cannot be unlocked. Universal SIM or piggyback SIM is not considered as unlock and they are not 100% reliable.

You are confused with the terminology here. Jailbreak & unlock is 2 different thing.

My iPhone is not activated with AT&T. So I read that in order to activate it I have to jailbreak it first. I don't have the AT&T chip (I bought it on eBay) and I'm outside US so I think I need to jailbreak it. But I want to jailbreak it without the Cydia and Installer apps, only the AppStore apps I currently use on my iPod Touch. Is this possible?

Yes. Just don't install those apps

Hi people i have a serious problem.

I just jailbroke my iphone and now i always get the message :" waiting for activation this could take a while"
I can dismiss the message but will i be able to get rid of that message?

please help, do i need to use winpwn to activate again?

p.s

I am also outside of the us and won't use AT&T but still have the AT&T card. I have no carrier to AT&T otherwise i think it would activate by it self.

Can i bypass this ?
