well jailbreaked with pwnagetool and 2.1 is still lagged.. seriously lagged.. anybody know of a fix im going to kill myself lol

Hi all. German 3G 16GB iPhone with legit T-Mobile SIM card here. Pwn failed twice, restored, Quickpwn succeeded. All this happened as soon as pwn software has been made available. Performance is slightly slower than stock, but the main thing is - every time I install or update ANY application the iphone gets back to springboard and enters safe mode.

Today for the first time I had a problem with emails. Don't know yet whether it will be a transitory problem. I open the app, get a million times a pop-up saying that there's a connection problem with the (Gmail) server, then it starts uploading 97 unsent mail (but there are no unsent mail to send, actually), and finally a message on the bottom appears, stating that there are 4294967293 unsent messages. Nice huh?

Oh, I only have like 42 apps installed, including cydia, installer and kate. I had to uninstall winterboard cause it crashed with kate.

Last thing I noticed: I can't change the springboard background pic anymore. Don't know whether that's a poisoned gift left by winterboard or what.

So, I guess not everything went really smooth. But - excluding this email problem today - every function is running well anyways so I guess I'll wait for 2.2 before restoring everything. Shouldn't be that far in time now.

yah same thing it says has to shut down but its okay because the custom ipsw is in your documents, and the screen on the iphone stays white, which is OK, open itunes, itunes dectects in recovery mode, shift-click restore to the custom firmware, and it goes on no problems...enjoy your new jailbroken 3g...

Can someone clarify for me?

I've got an iPhone 3G with 2.1 installed.

I have 2 questions:

If I use Pwnage to upgrade to 2.2 (leaving the 2.1 baseband intact):

1) Can I return to either the official 2.1 or 2.2 software later and, if so, how?
2) Will I be able to upgrade to an official 2.3 version of the software when it comes out?

For me no problem to jailbreak & udate to 2.2, just the classic problem qith a software unlock solution for everything-but-no-Pone unlock.
