my friend has a iphone 3G 16Gb. other details about his iphone have no idea at all. if i connect the usb. the apple logo would come out. but stuck on the apple logo. if i put in DFU mode. the itunes can recognize the iphone but no details of the iphone comes out.

what program should i use to repair the iphone? please help for fast repair.

Use iTunes 9.0.2 or newer to apply firmware 3.1.2 to the device, that should bring the phone back to a usable state.
