I was hoping you could help me because i got a sort a of a problem :

So 2 weeks ago i got a new computer (MBP 15") because my PC was broken so i decided after 2 weeks of use (downloading series and music etc...) to restore my iPhone and make a new library (itunes etc...) (MY IPHONE WAS RUNNING ON 4.2.1 BB 6.15.00 REDSN0W JB no problem at all!!) so i try to restore it with an ipsw 4.1 i dont remember what happened next but anyway... (it got locked so i kicked it out with tinyumbrella etc...)

So i finally got it to work with pwnagetool : I succesfully jbreaked my iphone on 4.1 bb 6.15 and then i wanted to unlock it so i downloaded ultrasn0w and my phone froze , then rebooted and it got stuck on the apple logo ... don't remember what i did next but i JUST jailbroke it AGAIN on 4.2.1 with CFW bb6.15 using pwnagetool and i unlocked it via ultrasn0w and same thing happened !!!!!!!

So please can someone explain me how to get 4.1 OR 4.2.1 OR 4.0 with jailbreak AND unlock ???

PS: I don't really understand what are shsh and blobs or whatever...

You really should spend the time learning what SHSH blobs are, but if you truly have an iPhone 3G and not a 3GS then it is possible to workaround the "no SHSH blobs" issue.

first mistake, you do NOT need to re-load the 6.15 baseband. That is a one-time-operation
Make a custom IPSW, say no to the 6.15 baseband, let pwnagetool put your phone into pwned DFU mode and restore the custom IPSW you just made.

That should work - it's as simple as that.

Ok thx so you are saying that i have to launch pwnagetool with a ipsw 4.2.1 (iphone 3g) but i dont see in pwnagetool the option to upgrade (or not) the bb 6.15 where is it ?

Use expert mode, refer to this guide:

iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak and Unlock Your iPhone 3G Using PwnageTool (Mac) [4.2.1]

At Step 6 in the guide, say NO to updating to the iPad baseband.
In Step 7 you see there is a greyed out option "enable baseband update", this means that the baseband won't be updated.
Also in step 7 you can skip over the bit where you bundle OpenSSH with the custom IPSW, this is optional
Also optional is the bootlogo section

Did ALL that but still stuck after reboot on the apple logo ...also what do i do to kick the phone out of the apple log ? (i forgot)

Depends on what error code you got.
FixRecovery (from the author of TinyUmbrella) will kick you out of recovery on 4.2.1 if the restore failed with 1013 or 1015 errors.
Otherwise TinyUmbrella includes an exit recovery mode option, that works for most other error codes.

Sorry I misread your initial post.
If you get stuck on the apple logo after a restore, then you likely have a hardware fault.
Please publish the iTunes restore log

How do i do that ? i got stuck not after restore but after trying to installing ultrasn0w...

Is your existing data important? There are guides on how to boot a SSH ramdisk and disable mobilesubstrate addons - which will probably get you booting again. This is somewhat advanced (requires some experience)

Otherwise, restore the phone and try again.
