Default [iPhone 2g][1.1.4 from 2.0] Blank Screen

Hi, i tried searching for similar posts but to no avail. I had upgraded my otb 1.1.2 to the latest fw 2.0 5a347 and then back to 1.1.4 sucessfully using iLiberty+ as well as ipwner in mac. I also downgraded the baseband from 4.05.4g to 4.02.13g with patched ziphone. i then changed back the the bootloader to 4.04.5g with bootneuter.

after making a custom 1.1.4 fw in pwnage tool, i wanted to restore to the custom fw so that i could remove the pineapple logo and get the original apple logos back. i then tried to do a custom restore in itunes 7.7 with a custom 1.1.4 custom restore file in DFU mode. but then i got the error 16xx.

i then tried the custom restore on windows and itunes 7.5 also had the same error. after many tries, the mac and windows itunes 7.5/7.7 both do not recognise the iphone and the iphone now cannot be turned on (i suppose that it is no longer in DFU mode.)

    is my phone bricked forever?

    Has your battery run out

How have you attempted to turn the phone on? Have you tried holding the power and home buttons down together for at least 5 seconds?

When i connect it to the pc with itunes 7.7 and apple mobile device installed, the message "USB Device not recognised" pops up at the bottom right of the screen. I tried connecting the phone to the wall charger but nothing happens.

apparently it works fine now. I took out my simcard and put in the at&t sim card. and i kept trying to hold the buttons together randomly. and then once i just held both buttons together until the pineapple appeared!

so what if i want to do a custom restore on 1.1.4? shd i do it on itunes 7.5?

This could be that the uninstall is not complete on the Mac. Even though you are on 7.5, there could be some elements from iTunes 7.7 there.

What is your ultimate aim here? What firmware version are you trying to get to?
