Default I keep loosing my addresses

It has been crazy, I restore, from 1.1.3 all the way to 2.0.2 and while using the phone, it crashes apps, and eventually I even lose the addresses, BUT if i get a call, the name is displayed. Anyone having similar experiences?????

On the first sync after restoring to the custom firmware, itunes showed the option "to restore data from a backup". Did you choose this one? You should have choosen "setup as a new iphone". I would guess the restore brought back some old preference files, wrong permissions and stuff to your iPhone.
I would use simple restore/recovery mode, restore to the custom firmware again, setup as a new iphone and sync the. I'd bet the problems are solved then.

volkspost, thank you, I have always set up as a new phone, and not from the backup. still the same problem. Ieven tried not to include cydia and installer, thinking maybe what they install, is corrupting the permissions etc, but same results

Well, it's definitely weird. What I would do is to create another custom FW, and I would check the log when you make it, just to make sure everything is fine. Then I would restore the new custom FW. Hopefully that'll do it.

If that does not work, I would then restore a stock FW 2.0.2, test the phone for a couple of days just to make sure everything works fine with stock FW, and then pwn again.

If you not worrying about your contacts and other things. You DFU restore the phone with firmware 2.0.2. After that, you can use pwnagetool 2.0.3.1

you can simply restore in iTunes, it will download the latest FW, which is 2.0.2 (btw, I am assuming you are on an official Apple carrier, if you are not, restoring to stock FW will make you lose your unlock, in which case it's not really an option for you)

DFU restore is in principle better, but getting into DFU may be tricky, so I would first go with the simpler solution

what I have experienced is when i restore, even in DFU mode, the unlock seems to be there, did this twice, but i do need to activate, i am not on the apple's plan.

How do you jailbreak using PwnAge, without creating .ipsw? or have I misunderstood?

the unlock is there because the baseband does not change from firmware 2.0 to 2.0.1 to 2.0.2.
As long as baseband version does not change, the unlock stays.

you use pwnage 2.0.3.1 in expert mode, select 2.0.2 fw, select jailbreak/activate, select cydia + installer (if you want). skipping the bootneuter, unlock .... Uncheck the bootlogo if you want. Build the custom ipsw.

Put phone in restore mode and restore using the custom firmware.

ps: bonus !! if you are not on apple contracted provider, you may want to look at volkspost carrier bundle and use that during the ipsw creation process

i did that, and I have not launced either Cydia nor Installer, but also did not switch on the WIFI, an things are going better, the phone froze only twice, the moment i tried to enter the wifi password, it crashed and auto rebooted.

I am keeping my eyes on the wifi, any suggestions?
