You don't even need SSH installed beforehand...I had a clean iPhone, did the tutorial, and was still able to connect through SSH.

You're right. SSH just didn't work with Terminal. In VMWara running Win it worked..

    Strange thing..

    A few quick notes:

-The first time you login it will take a while and probably time out (your phone is computing your key).

-2.0 seems to cut off the wifi connection very actively when its not being used by an app like safari/etc.. This tends to cut off ssh quite a bit.. one "solution", set the phone to never sleep and leave it on the settings page-- when you're in settings it seems to always stay connected.

-You might want to change your password if you use your phone on a shared network... follow the instructions here: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...80224231344798

-If you want to turn ssh off (to save battery, etc), you can remove the launch daemon and reboot. Be warned though, to put it back you'll need to use a tool like iFuntastic that lets you browse the filesystem over USB. Anyone want to write a "Services"/BossTool like app that controls ssh and works with 2.0? ;-)

My Terminal comes up with the follwoing Warning:

WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED!
    and
    Host key verification failed.

I did things through ssh before.
