Even after adding the ultrasn0w package to "Custom Packages", you are not able to see then follow the following steps:
1. Open the ultrasn0w package (On Mac, you can simply right click on the bundle and select "Show Package Contents").
2. Open Info.plist file in TextEdit.
3. Add your firmware version to the following list
<key>SupportedFirmware</key>4. Launch PwnageTool and you will get it now under "Custom Packages".
I have a iPhone 3G (BaseBand 4.26.08) which i jailbroke using Pawnage Tool 3.0 on my MacBook ( iTunes 8.2, Leopard 10.5.8 ), But all my efforts to unlock it using Ultrasn0w were unsuccessful.
I came across this forum and tried to use your method of placing redsn0w bundle on ~/Library/Application Support/PwnageTool/CustomPackages and creating a custom ispw and restroing the iPhone with it.
After i restored the custom ispw when i power on the phone, it started with a pineapple sign which remains on screen for 10-12 minutes and then everything goes black for 2 seconds and aging the pineapple sign reappeared on the screen. This process continued in a loop until the battery was drained completely.
when i connected the iPhone to my macbook, the phone was not recognized by iTunes. But the phone battery starts getting charged.
I think the Operating System of my iPhone has crashed.
Can you help me please ?
I am using 3.0 version of the software. and the ispw i used was 1,2_3.0_7A431_Restore.ispw
I want to restore my phone , but the problem is, because iTunes do not recognize my iPhone, i can not get my phone into DFU mode and restore the software.
Is there any other method by which i can get my phone into DFU mode ?
I have created and uploaded a blacksn0w bundle, here is a link to the thread I have created for it:
