Problems on Replacing bundle in RedSn0w?

Here is the Icy.tar.gz file:
Hotfile.com: Icy.tar.gz (ultrasn0w 0.9)
Make a backup of the original Icy.tar.gz inside redsn0w [can be done by moving it to another location or renaming it to something else] and replace it with the above file. Then run redsn0w and remember to check both Cydia and Icy. After jailbreak turn you iPhone off and back on and it should have Cydia and ultrasn0w installed and working.
Note: Make sure you run redsn0w after replacing the file. Cydia needs to be checked along with Icy for ultrasn0w to be installed and for it to work. Do not check Icy unless you want ultrasn0w installed.
Thank You HomeGrown, but i have problems as i downloaded the bundle but how can i add or replace Icy.tar.gz file into the RedSn0w because RedSn0w has only one single .exe file and i am Windows Vista user. could you post the step wise procedures for adding file Icy.tar.gz to RedSn0w.Thanks

I don't use the windows version so I wouldn't really know but try using universal extractor to extract the .exe file then look at its contents and see if you find an Icy.tar.gz

how to install ultrasn0w offline
HomeGrown, i've tried to modify redsnow 0.72 and 0.8 with icy.tar.gz but running redsnow 0.72 and after turn off and on the device can't get signal. With 0.8 can't enter in DFU mode. Is there any other way (no pwnage, or redsnow) to install ultrasnow? Via cydia or Icy the repo (666) is down. I apreciate your help

Dude, look at the screenshot and description here. I did it. It looks totally legitimate. There is no Cydia/Icy. It has T-Mobile carrier support bundle. It looks officially unlocked, even though it is not. You can't tell it was jailbroken and unlocked with ultrasn0w from just looking at it.

Anyone can do it, it's not that hard. Also it isn't really useful because you can't really trick apple employees with it and you can't use Cydia to download stuff you might want... congrats on the effort though...

Anyone who has had experience with Debian-based Linux distributions and knows a little more Mac and UNIX than point and click can do it. Anyone can do it is a bit of an exaggeration. The Genius bar are as dumb as bricks. They look for Cydia. If they don't see it, they won't know it's not jailbroken. They do not have access to the database of what is and isn't unlocked. It may not be useful to you, but it is useful to the many who just want an unlocked phone and don't care for the poor quality packages found in Cydia.

K cool I apologise if I have hurt your feelings... also you don't really have to go through all that effort, just jailbreak it the normal way and delete Cydia using diskaid etc. and now I see why it would be useful to some and I would like to officially give you props on putting in the effort.
Note: I don't think a lot of people would appreciate you insulting their apps, a few of them have also played a big part in the jailbreaking/unlocking effort and we all should be very grateful. also there are many useful things available in Cydia I would recommend taking having a look at some of em.

You didn't hurt my feelings. I just don't want you to give the wrong idea to people and have 100 idiots who bitch that they broke their phone at your encouragement.
Deleting Cydia is not the issue. Cydia comes with a ton of dependencies. It comes with an entire UNIX subset. I've always had instability because of it. Cydia has nothing to do with the jailbreak itself, which is just the opening of the system partition for modification, among other things. If all you care about is not having the Cydia icon, then by all means delete it via DiskAid or SSH. I care about having an almost legitimate firmware, which I now have.
