Default Having a lot of trouble....

Ok I was able to build this file using Pwange 3.1.5 this is what I ended up with... iPhone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Custom_Restore.ispw Ok so Then I held the option key down in iTunes per directions & got this message.... “the iphone “iPhone” could not be restored because the firmware is not compatible.

What the hell happened ? Can somebody please give me some good detailed directions on what to do next. I'll answer any questions as best I can.

I believe this is an iPhone 3G 8 gig. V3.1.2 firmware of 4.1.2 or something close to that. I originally used Blackra1n to Jail Break then during Cydia install it went into I'm not sure which mode. But I can hold the power button down & get the Apple Icon. I have yet to get it to turn off.

What is my next step ?

    Thanks so much.

Sounds like you have done everything right, are you sure the firmware was iPhone1,2 not iPhone2,1?

What did you say when it asked "has this phone been pwned before?"

Try saying no and restoring via DFU mode.

Turns out I appear to have a 2G iPhone. After I went thru all that. Ok thanks for everything. I seem to be up & running. I'm getting no service but I haven't dropped my Indo SIM chip in yet so I hope that's all it is.
