Grey WIFI and Bluetooth Problem after Jailbreak Firmware 2.2 on 1st Gen iPhone
Hello.
I recently used the Pwnage2.2 to upgrade my firmware from 1.0.2 to 2.2 on my 1st gen iPhone (8G). Everything seems to be successful because I can download applications, BUT I now have a greyed out WIFI and Bluetooth. Does anyone know how I can get it back? Please help. Thanks so much...greatly appreciate it.
Cheers!

did you ever used ziphone on that iphone?

No I'm nevered used ziphone before.
Under Network Settings, or even About, there is nothing under WIFI address, and for Bluetooth there are a bunch of zeros.

Ok then you can try to downgrade your iphone to 1.1.4
And then Downgrade your baseband
And then go up to 2.2
or
Good luck

SO, if I downgrade to 1.1.4, then change the baseband setting, then i need to rejailbreak to 2.2 with Pwnage2.2, I should then have Wifi and Bluetooth AS WELL AS all my apps?
Wouldn't rejailbreaking with Pwnage2.2 just cause the same problem? When I upgrade my firmware to 2.2, I did the exact step through the link you provided for Mac, so I will downgrading to 1.1.4 actually help?
P.S. Thanks so much for your help, any help at this point is greatly appreciated!

it may or it may not give you back your wifi + bluetooth. The whole point of this is starting with fresh baseband files. I did all this once with my dad's phone and it did the trick (wireless range was never the same tho). As for your apps... sync your iphone with itunes and create a backup of it current state.. then when u r back at 2.2 restore from back up.
Side Note: Do it at your own risk. Take your time.
Side Note 2: Only official AppStore apps are backed up.

Ok cool, so for your dad, he had the same problem when he first upgraded to 2.2 right?
Aftering reading many threads, downgrading to 1.1.4 seem to be the way. Did you ever hear of swifi from Dev-team? Would you recommand that? The steps you advised me seems easier.

Another question...
So when I reupgrade to 2.2, should i do anything different then when I did it the first time? If not, could I not just put my iPhone to Recovery, and then use the orginal ipsw file to reupgrade to 2.2?

just do as the guide says. or if you are a legit user with contract and dont need to unlock just put your iphone in DFU mode and restore (not upgrade) to 2.2
