ok so once I've downgraded and changed the baseband...then REDO the whole Pwnage 2.2 upgrade as the guide says. By doing so, this won't alter what I've changed the baseband to?

well battery life span could be the reason... what u can do is calibrate your battery once the new software is installed

    1. Let the battery drain.
    2. Dont use or connect your iphone for 5 hours
    3. Let It charge overnight.
    4. Once battery is fully charged unplug it and dont use it for 2 hours.
    5. You can use your phone

Be sure to use your wall charger
    do this every 3 months.

So, after doing the battery charge you're advised for 3 months, then the battery life should be back to normal?

and could you please answer this as well:

Not to normal. But it will improve a bit. You see after a determined number of charge/discharge cycles the battery life will start to decrease. That's a very normal thing and can't be prevented from happening. But there are some tips that will help to keep your battery healthy. Avoid direct sunlight or high temperatures and stuff like that

Changes to the baseband??? Would u mind to ellaborate please?

When I downgrade my baseband after I've downgraded to 1.1.4 to fix my no wifi and bluetooth problem, then according to your guide, I would need to reupgrade to 2.2, but wouldn't upgrading to 2.2 change my baseband?

What I don't get is that I've upgraded to 2.2 already but I have no wifi or bluetooth, so in order to get that I should downgrade my baseband right? well once I've accomplished that, then I need to reupgrade to 2.2 to get my apps....but I fear that when I reupgrade to 2.2, it would just alter my baseband again...wouldn't it?

Is my no WIFI due to the baseband? What is baseband anyways?

Thanks so much...I really really appreciate your help.

yes the 2.2 will get u the newest baseband but you are upgrading from fresh 1.1.4 baseband files and not from old ones that might be corrupted

Read here to know what baseband is.

    Default Thanks iPhoneEnthusiast!

One other thing, I noticed that since my direct upgrade to 2.2, my ringer doesn't ring if my iPhone is locked or auto-locked. Is that another issue I need to deal with separately, or would you think that after I downgrade to 1.1.4 to fix whatever bugs, then the ringer problem might be fixed too?

I am waiting until next week to do the downgrade to 1.1.4, but I'll definitely keep you updated. You've been the only person that's offered any opinion and responed to my questions, thanks so much!

I am still confused as I did the first step, downgrade to 1.1.4, but I cannot get iLiberty or winpwn to work... help?

I am guessing I HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE RECOVERY MODE in order to downgrade my baseband, but I cannot even use WinPwn or iLiberty to unlock it or move past anything really...
