I've got another question.

I need to downgrade my 3GS from 4.1 to 4.0.1 (I still have the 5.13.04 Baseband).
Is there any way to do this with the pwnage-tool ?
I tried to, but always when i choose the 4.0.1 ipsw-file i get an error "wrong ipsw-file".
i tried pwnage 4.0, 4.01, 4.1 and 4.1.2.
Always the same error.

I tried to restore 4.0.1 from my windows-pc with tiny umbrella and my saved shsh's, but i can't activate the phone because i don't have a t... sim and my phonebook-sim doesn't work anymore (i don't know why, but itunes says wrong sim-card).

so now i restored my custom-4.1 with my mac and the phone is working again.
But i still can't downgrade to 4.0.1.

so: how can i downgrade to 4.0.1 including activation and jailbreak (or only activation and jailbreak with jailbreakme.com) ??

There was no official Pwnagetool release for iOS 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 (these both included no new features of any value - 4.0.1 - tweaked "signal strength indicator" 4.0.2 - close jailbreakme.com exploit. If you want to downgrade, you need to use Pwnagetool 4.0.1 and iOS 4.0 IPSW

According to the guru - sherif hashim - Twitter

Sometime today, apple has fixed the bug thru which Phonebook sim cards used to activate, they r of NO USE anymore, don't depend on/buy them

If you can't legitimately activate then there is no solution that we recommend. (sn0wbreeze will probably do it - but we don't recommend that tool as it causes problems)

i've bought a prepaid-card for this provider.
i've downgraded to 4.0.1 with itunes and tiny umbrella with my saved shsh's, activated the phone with the new prepaid-card, jailbroken with jailbreakme.com and unlocked with ultrsn0w.

Now it works again as it should and the battery looses only 1% in 5 hours standby instead of 10% per hour with 4.1
