Can't Upgrade to FW 2.0? Its the phone not your PC!!
For the last 2 weeks i have tried to upgrade to fw 2.0 on my iphone without sucess.
I have tried many different pc's and mac's including virtual pc's and nothing.
Also this is not a problem of getting into DFU, its fairly simple i you follow the guides. Also in Windows if you go into device manager it will confirm you are in DFU.
So whats keeping my iphone from upgrading? I have upgraded other phone with the same pc's and mac's without any problems.
This i why im sure its the phone.
If you phone wont upgrade no matter wht you do i guide you follow, post it here with some information about you Baseband and previous unlock procedure to trie and figure out if there's something in common.
- Hardware Ulocked
- ISPF Unlocked
- Anysim Unlocked
- Pwnage 1.1.4 Unlocked
PS. My iphone does not have the recovery (dock cable) image even if i restore to 1.1.4.

Just to let you know a little more about my situation and im sure im not the only one.
After i trie to DFU restore to custom fw 2.0 from 1.1.4 i get error 6 and itunes says that its verifyng the IPOD for an upgrade. After it it shows the usual looking for iphone.
I have donwgraded the firmware to 1.1.2 to see if from here it would make a difference but its the same i end with error 6.
The iphone has a modem firmware 04.04.05 this is from 1.1.4. How can i downgrade this to a lower one just to see if from there i get better results.
Thanks in advance
if you are trying to go to 2.0 from 1.1.4 make sure you have the latest version of iTunes, 7.7.1, and make sure you have restarted your computer after the install process is over. if you are still getting an error try a different USB port. and one last thing. when you are doing the restore what you can try is Shift-clicking (Windows) or Option-clicking (MAC) so you can select your own Firmware. the best thing might be to download the 2.0 FW and try restoring by selecting that file from the Restore menu.
