Ok so i just pwned my iphone and i accidentally installed BSD sub system 2.1 and i thought i remembered checking that in the .ipsw builder.

I have dl a good amount of applications from installer then i click this one and its said i needed the bsd subsystem package so thats why i downloaded it.

and the application does work after installing the bsd subsytem 2.1 from installer

I read the tutorial before asking the questions and it says i should have done something else to make my installer see the bsd subsystem.

But there is no option for me to uninstall the bsd system i just installed

what do i do

You have to install the fake BSD subsystem. It basically tells installer that the BSD subsystem is installed.

Sorry to sound a little ignorant here, but where can I find the fake BSD?

Just answered my own question:

BSD Subsystem: This package of tools is needed by MOST 3rd party apps so they can run correctly HOWEVER your Installer will not "see" it as installed so for your phone to see it as installed you need to add the big boss recommended and beta sources from the sources catagory. Then go into the system category and install "Fake BSD Subsystem" then exit installer and you can now install all apps without redownloading BSD again!

Edit: Fake BSD Subsystem isn't in the System category anymore, after installing Big Boss's sources (both of them).

Where can I get Fake BSD Subsystem from, does anyone have it as a bundle?

If that is already in your list of sources just browse all applications alphabetically to find it.

FYI if you install the whole BSD from installer over the top of the version pwnage put on the phone then you dont need to do anything else as it will be listed in installer as installed. However the whole point of using fake BSD is so you dont have to download something that is already on your phone!

So can I bundle the fake BSD in Pwnage? I don't understand why after restoring my phone with my Custom Firmware, BSD packaged in, the Installer doesn't recognise it.

I will try bundle fake bsd and see if it picks it up.

Okay for the life of me I cannot find the fake bsd. I added that source and it is not listed! Can you see it? What it titled as?

Edit... What a mission, sorry for being ignorant... Due to the fact that I am unlocking many phones I have come to this solution:

Pwn the phone and restore using Custom Firmware WITHOUT BSD Subsystem packed. Use ZiPhone 'Jailbreak only' button and seal box for sale.

Don't understand why PwnageTool cannot allow the installer to recognise BSD Subsytem, why is this?

Your missing the point of pwnage - it puts everything in the right place without any errors - ZiPhone may not move all the files it needs to and may mess up the file system - as your jailbreaking only it is no big deal but it defeats the purpose of using pwnage!

It is called "Fake BSD Subsystem" and is on that source- which I am sure is added by one of the two bigboss sources automatically.

For whatever reason Pwnage does not as yet at BSD subsystem to the installer list of installed apps - but that is why I said use fake BSD so you don't have to download it again!

Yet...... I think I am going crazy! I am 100% sure when I say that Fake BSD has been removed from those repo's. I have looked for it 10 times over and have added all 3 sources and restored all over again!

Please do me the hugest of favours and send/link it to me in a bundle...

Therefore, what I am thinking, is that I can bundle it into my 'Custom Restore' and therefore I will never need to install BSD or the Fake.

The fact that I had installed BSD Subsytem over my packaged one didn't allow me to view the fake BSD in the Installer. I restored the phone and managed to find it only then.
