I think I'm on the same boat as you Djungelmums.
After hours of trying stuff. I believe my BL is corrupt and probably my baseband.
I have a 1.1.4 OTB... I winpwned... iLiberty jailbreaked and activated. Installed BSD. Went to bootneuter my iphone (4.6/neuter/fb/unlock) and it hanged on "Flashing Bootloader..." for more than an hour.
Now i have no wifi, bt, etc.
Restoring to anything gives me error 1101. I've tried 1.1.1, and 1.1.4.
Bootneuter now hangs on "determining current settings".
BBinfo Hangs on "pinging baseband"

Flashing the baseband with BB firmware 04.05.01_G.

Why are you flashing using the BB fw from 2.0 Beta 3 ?? I'm curious.
Oh i didn't run that command i meant to quote that from Djungelmums previous post.

By the way - how did people do before you could neuter? Because ive allways seen people using that command before.
If the bootloader is not neutered, you have to use ierase, after that you can use bbupdater & you also need the secpack. Search the forum and you can see how it was done before we have bootneuter.
The beauty behind the neutered bootloader is you can write any baseband to it (un-signed as well) with a simple bbupdate. You need to use the bbupdate that came with the bootneuter program.
Before, you use an unlocking program. Now you can simply patch the *.fls file with a hex editor (patching = unlock it) then write it to flash.

I have tried ienew but that got stuck on "Waiting for data..."... will look deeper into this.
Hey guys any input? my phone is stuck on flashing baseband. Its been like this for 20 mins. UPDATE. phone just shut off I turn it on and it shows low battery icon.... now what? The phone was not responding and was stuck on slide for emergency screen so i pwned it and tried to neuter help please
Did some fishing around....
explains the erasing baseband algorithm for 3.9BL and 4.6BL
If your like me and have 4.6BL then we are technically screwed
"if (secpack version > current baseband version)
allow to erase
So I think to fix our problem (corrupt baseband) we need to erase our baseband (via ieraser?) and then just DFU restore to any firmware (to get a working baseband).
If that is right, and I'm assuming the DFU restore with 4.6BL gives a new baseband, then...
Our main problem is that our current baseband version is the latest! so no current secpack can allow us to erase.
If there is someway to trick the secpack to be > Baseband 04.04.05_G then we should be able to fix the baseband iPhones.
Now there are those new beta firmwares, but I would assume that those secpacks are totally different and won`t be able to be used? yes/no anyone?
or do they use the same baseband version?
Anyone have input on this?
I'm looking into this secpack business now... :hack:
that's why you have bootneuter ... to neuter the bootloader so you don't need the secpack and you can do straight bbupdate of any version.
the problem is the baseband is not empty at the required location & therefore you cannot flash it (I think). If you're lucky, the hardware A17 may work.
