Yeah you'll be fine, just don't push the home or power buttons while BootNeuter is running

Just wanted to tell my story:

I've got two 1.02s OTB -> revirginized -> 1.1.1 . Did use pwnage on one of it, everything worked as it should.
The other one had problems restoring to 1.1.4, had to do it twice. Then pwned it, built the firmware file and tried to restore. Bootneuter always stopped at "Determining curent settings". Tried to repeat it 3-4 times, always got stuck.
So I restored back to original 1.1.4 and used iLiberty+. Worked flawlessly. So I think that's kind of weird. One phone worked, the other didn't. Bought the same day, updated the same way ...

    unlocked 1.02 -> revirginized -> 1.1.1 -> pwned 1.1.4 -> pwned 2.0 -> now on 2.01

my firmware version / eep version / eep revision / booloader correct

so for sure i wont have problems to run pwned, is that right?

    tks to help me
Out of curiosity I tried this on my iPhoneSIMFree phone except it says "command not found: bbupdater"

Why is that? Shouldn't bbupdater be on the phone already or is it something you have to add - after I restored to 1.1.4 all I added was signal.app and used independence to activate/jailbreak and manually added installer so maybe I just don't have bbupdater on my phone? Is that correct?

I realised it would be great if there was a way to test if BootNeuter would work BEFORE we use it and if you don't have bbupdater on your phone - or don't understand how to use terminal etc...

Then I remmebered the other thread with BootNeuter on installer! So I added the source and downloaded BootNeuter and tested if it would get stuck on settings and it didn't... so that may be a suggestion on how to test if your going to be ok with that part or not!

Although I admit it doesn't help if it does get stuck! sorry!

i've got the same question like you? Is the last think to try?
    What will solve replacing commboard?
will i have a new wifi mac address, modem firmware, imei etc etc?
Will i have a new bootloader?

If i try i'm first gonna try reflashing and some tools with the A17 testpoint, i know the swifi program needs a fakeblanked bootloader so maybe running it with the testpoint might do smth...
Then i think the commboard contains the bootloader, baseband and so on...
But some confirmation would be nice.

Yes you are right, the Commboard contains the S-Gold (the "baseband processor"), and the S-Gold manages the Bootloader, the Bootrom and finally the Baseband....
And i have to say i'm disappointed but i will go on trying to reflash the f*ckin bootloader.... in easy words: till now, A17 didn't work for me!

    Hello all !

I've been followint this thread very closely.

I had one I was trying to unlock using Ziphone but for some reason it stopped at Spamming AT. Tried to restore 1.1.4 and got error 1011.

Used Pwnage tool, loaded a custom 1.1.4 with bootneuter but hanged at "Determine current settings". Reloaded one without bootneuter, and tried to run bbupdater:

    Resetting target...
    pinging the baseband...
    issuing +xgendata...
    firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_04.02.13_G
    eep version: EEP_VERSION:208
    eep revision: EEP_REVISION:1
    bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:4.6_M3S2

Got that. Wifi works, but can't make calls.

    Sping reports this:

    # sping -v
    Opened: /dev/tty.debug
Spamming AT, waiting for a response
    Bootrom isn't responding to AT!

    # sping
    Bootrom isn't responding to AT!

I would be very very happy to get some help. I am under the impression that I should "flash" the baseband somehow, but how ?
