    Default Bootloader SHA1 verificaiton?

I guess I am a relative noobie. However, I have searched and not found a satisfying answer to this questions.

When I locate a copy of the iPhone bootloader (BL39 and/or BL46) how do I know I can trust it.

The iPHone Dev Team makes a big deal about using SHA1 to verify your download of Pwnagetool. But nothing is said about the bootloaders.

I have an iPhone 2G that I have consistently jailbroken with pwnagetool, but I have not yet unlocked it because I am stumped by the bootloader issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I am pretty sure I saw Musclenerd say that latest redsn0w checks that the bootloaders are correct before proceeding. It was on twitter, have not got time to check now.

So I think you are fine. Otherwise someone should publish legit SHA1 or MD5 for each BL.

iclarified.com has tutorial to unlocking iphone 2G using bootneuter.
In the tutorial, there is link to 3.9 and 4.6 BL.
iclarified is a reliable source and I'm sure the the owner of that site checked out everything before he put it up there.
