I just tried to pwn my phone using the 1.0 RC1 release of winpwn.

Im working with an old phone, Ive had it since 1.0.3 i believe. I had the phone jailbroken using Ziphone at 1.1.3 forever, and decided to give the new winpwn a try. I backed up my phone, Restored using Itunes, then started the ipwn process, everything went well, until it stuck at "iphone left recovery mode" I let it sit there for about 30 minutes, eventually decided something was wrong after seeing how quick it should take, restarted the phone. Winpwn detected the phone, and told me that my phone was successfully pwnd.

BUT..... Now the screen is completely black. While plugged in, I can hear the usb connect and diconnect when i use the hard restart, but nothing shows on the iphones screen. when the phone starts up now, itunes "waits for phone" for a while, then tells me that "The iphone "myname" cannot be used with itunes because the SIM card is not installed. You must insertyou SIM card into your phone to activate it."

Ive always used ATT, ive never unlocked the phone to be used with other carriers. Please help. Im thinking about trying to go back to ziphone. any suggestions? Thanks guys!

Just restore the phone in iTunes and then pwn it again.

Your problem is a problem that can occur when pwning doesn't work initially.

Unfortunatly, I cant restore using itunes, because whenever i turn the phone on, itunes tells me that error message, and the iphone does not show up in the devices list.

However, When i turn the phone on I CAN see the iphone in My Computer as a camera device.

Hmmmm..... So I think I figured out the problem, but im going to need some help fixing it. The link that I downloaded the 1.1.4 firmware from NAMED the firmware iPhone, but its actually iPod 1.1.4 firmware....

So lucky me, I pwnd the phone with ipod software. Awesome..... So now i have the correct IPHONE firmware, itunes cannot restore my phone. Whats the next step? IPwn again with iphone firmware?
