Re: Bigboss services not controlling wifi or respring
Try sbsettings instead. The wifi part of that works fine on my 3GS

Apple has the ability to remotely blacklist any appstore app. This is in case they find that an app they approved is really actually bad. They can basically tell every iPhone to not allow that app to be used anymore.
This is a "last resort" security feature and Apple has not yet used it. Some people don't want Apple to have such control over their phone. So SBSettings lets you turn it off if you really want to.
Apple won't use this feature unless they really need to (for example an app suddenly starts using 1000x it's normal bandwidth and brings the mobile network to a crawl).
For less serious problems, Apple just removes apps from the app store and people who already have purchased the app can still use it.
