[4.6 Neuter BL] How to erase the baseband?
Ok guys, i dont know if this has already been posted, but i didnt find.
Id like to know if there is any way we can erase and re-flash the baseband using 4.6BL, of course its a 4.6NEUTER Bootloader.
If so, how can we?just using the ./ieraser like 3.9?
Thanks a lot,
Abras

just quoting from their wiki:
Secpack restrictions are removed
* You are free to downgrade your baseband using bbupdater without having to run ieraser/ienew first.
i guess this applies to 3.9 and 4.6.

do you want to remove the BL to the stock one? if so you'd do a normal restore and u'd have the normal BL i guess.
if you mean to just remove the 4.6NEUTER BL without restore, i'd w8 for some1 from the dev team to tell

just turn unlock and neuture off. Then flash....?

fgsch is right, if your bootloader is neutered you don't need to erase the baseband manually anymore. Just use bbupdater to flash whatever version baseband you want, even if it's a lower version.

Ok, thanks a lot.
Just one thing MuscleNerd, im having some signal issues, do you think that erasing and then re-flashing the baseband should fix it?
I have already tried reseting all settings, but i still have this issue.

Reflashing the baseband with the same image it already has will have no effect -- there's no metadata stored in the baseband area that gets cleared out when you reflash. But people have reported various speedups/slowdowns between the different versions (with 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 being the speedup case IIRC).

Try to reflash the eeprom file:
bbupdater -e ICExxxxx.eep (xxxxxx use same baseband version)
i fixed some signal issues doing this.

if you're going to do it from terminal use airplane mode because its easier.
but with 1.1.4, you dont need to use airplane mode. just unloading commcenter is sufficient.
