[3g] [2.1] Safe Mode with every app installation/upgrade
Hi. German 16GB with legit SIM card, pwn'd failed twice, quickpwn succeeded (after restoring, of course). 42 apps installed, including Cydia, Installer, Kate. WinterBoard has been installed and uninstalled because of the conflict with Kate.
Problem: every time I install or upgrade any app (whether from Cydia or Installer) the iPhone jumps back to Springboard and enters Safe Mode.
I also noticed that I can't change the wallpaper anymore. Springboard background, yes. Wallpaper, no.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Solved, as usual
Given the fact that the problem with emails wasn't getting any better I decided to restore. Stock firmware, then jailbreak with Pwnage. Everything went well, everything works as it should.
Something must have been corrupted, since I can't use the old backup (I tried twice and it gave me the notorious Spinning Wheel of Death). Pity for the couple of notes, SMS history and stuff like that which I can't recover, but having my iPhone working flawlessly is more important than that.

Are you on a Mac? If so, you could use Erica Saduns's mdhelper to recover notes, sms history and copy it back via OpenSSH. her is a how-to just in case
Download (http://ericasadun.com/ftp/Macintosh/...-universal.zip), unpack and place mdhelper on the desktop. Start application Terminal and change directory with
cd Desktop/
chmod 755 mdhelper
./mdhelper -C .*
The programm looks inside ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ for the backup folders and extracts the files. You will find a new folder on the desktop containing everything.
You have to SFTP into your updated iPhone then and put the once back you want to have.
