Hi there:
Yes I got it working and it is working perfect. Will try to put the original comm board in it in a few days and I will post the results.
The disassemble is not that difficult and really very little probability that you will harm your iphone. These instructions work great http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone/i...d/105/8/Page-1 but you don't have to do all that is in that instruction. For example just remove the two screws that are attached to the comm board (page 5 of the instructions), no need to remove the one in top of the camera(that hold the logic board). Also you don't need to detach the headphone jack cable (page 4 last part). If you put the aluminum plate to the side it will be ok for what you need to do to get the comm board out (detach and reattach the antennas cables too, don't worry about the glue is easy to take out and the antennas pug back in easily enough). The comm board is very thin and is just below the steel plate that you see. It the one that the battery is attached to. So you don't need to past beyond the page 5 of this instructions. After page 5 unglued the battery from the iphone and detach and reattach the comm board. Nothing more need to be done. Before you close the iphone is OK to turn it on and check. Hopefully you have signal again
.
The hardest part it to take the aluminum plate out, is strongly attach to the rest of the body so you have to put some muscle into it. MAKE SURE YOUR IPHONE IS OFF BEFORE DETACHING THE COMM BOARD IT WON'T PROBABLY GET DAMAGE IF IT IS ON, BUT JUST AS A PRECAUTION.
Hope this work for everybody. If it does or doesn't work please post back so the rest know. :hack:

One more question .. When i detach the antennas, will I need to glue them back on later ??? The glue part is the only thing that is keeping me from doing it ... I don't have experience with these things ...

No, you don't have to glue them back. They snap back on easily. Don't be afraid is a straight foward process. Good luck and post the results.

Iphone 2G no service issue fix
I´ve gone thru almost everything posted for this issue. And finally read from someone (thanks) to avoid magnet lid cases so I tossed my belt case with a huge magnet right to the comm board... and ISSUE FIXED...
So I have carried my iphone in my pocket for the last 24 hrs with even better signal level than before... Sounds too easy but really makes sense..
