    Default 2G iPhone backup - 3GS

    Hey

Im currently the happy owner of and old iPhone 2G - Jailbreaked, running 2.2.1, but my question is; i have a iTunes backup from the phone with all my SMS's, notes etc, but what will happen when i get my iPhone 3GS and restore it with this backup? Im thinking of all the cydia files, and every other 3rd party file, will they brick my new iPhone when restored with the old backup, or does iTunes not backup other files than photos, sms's notes and email accounts?

    Best Regards

iTunes does not backup anything from cydia so you will have to re-install them.
People have problems restoring backups from one FW to another - If you can avoid it then it's beat to start from scratch with a new phone.
